How to Deliver Photos to Clients

The practical options for delivering finished photos to a client — email, file-transfer links, USB, or a client gallery — and which one to actually use.

For paid client work, a private gallery link beats email, a generic file-transfer service, or a USB drive on every measure that matters: it looks professional, doesn't expire without warning, and can sell prints on the way out.

  1. Upload the finished, edited images to a new gallery.
  2. Set access — a password, an email gate, or both, depending on how private the work needs to be.
  3. Set an expiry date so the gallery doesn't stay open indefinitely.
  4. Share the link by email; the client opens it directly, with no account required.

For a handful of low-resolution images to a friend, email is still fine. For full-resolution originals or anything you're being paid for, a gallery is the safer default.

Frequently asked questions

What if the client loses the link?

Resend it — the gallery stays live until its expiry date, so there's no one-time link to worry about losing for good.
